What we do
In this relaxed environment children and their grown-ups sing and dance together and have fun. All the songs and rhymes have actions.
- Skipping, hopping, running or creeping.
- Finger rhymes and counting rhymes
- Being thrown up in the air
- Bouncing on a lap
- Rowing in a boat
- Rhymes to be quiet and rhymes to be noisy.
Some songs will be familiar whilst others will be new.
Children have plenty of opportunities to ask for their favourites.
It's not just songs, we use -
- The Music Bag, full of instruments
- glove & finger puppets
- a parachute
- bubbles - lots of bubbles!
- the gathering drums
- When it's your birthday there's a candle, we'll sing to you and make a magic cake.
The age range is mixed; babies love being sung to and cuddled while the older children are able to do the actions and sing along.
Most of the children are between two or three months and four years although the youngest ever was only three days!
Time to make friends for you and your children
There is a break in the middle of the session for refreshments, a chance for you to relax and socialise with other adults.
While you have a break there is time for some free play for the children, with hoops and balls and the large gathering drums.
Still singing at home!
How much does it cost?
- £8 for a single session. There is a loyalty scheme for regular members. Payment by card on the day please.
- £18 for 3 sessions for new members. Valid for 6 weeks from purchase.
- Refreshments for adults included.
- No extra charge for more than one child.
- No membership fee or requirement to make a block booking
- Only pay for the sessions you attend.
